"To increase awareness of death with a view to helping people make the most of their (finite) lives."

Family Advocate

Traversing caregiver concerns, planning a good death, making end-of-life decisions, and creating a funeral, memorial, or tribute service can be difficult. Heather will provide you with information, resources, and concepts that will help you make the right decision for your loved one and family.

Death Doula

As a death doula, I have participated in specialized training to assist the dying and their family members. Caring for someone who is dying can be traumatic and confusing, especially in a time when aging and end of life is ignored or a taboo subject to discuss. A death doula, death midwife, end of life coach or transition guide can help family members through the process of dying, explain what to expect, and serve an advocate.

A death doula can offer comfort, support, and companionship. Most doulas are nonsectarian and able to provide a variety of services that could include religious readings, prayers, and songs in the death process and celebration of life service. It is my desire for you to have a positive death experience and provide family members a safe space for conversation and action.
